Here’s how my garden is coming along.
I put everything out too early bc I was just too excited to wait. I ended up hauling a lot in and out and I had to cover a couple of times because of frost. Everything has been in stasis, waiting for warmer night temps.
Herbs in the second pic. Catnip, mint, parsley. Basil, a sedum that will survive but not thrive this year, another basil.
Next, the herb bed, thyme, oregano, more basil, more parsley and rosemary. The bottom plants are just place holders til I fill in with ornamentals.
The purple heart is a scraggly mess. It been way too cold and the wind is brutal. They will perk up in the heat.
I am planning on adding Angelina sedum to all of the planters. It tough and brilliantly colored. I can keep cost down and the cohesion of the colors solid.
I think I will buy flowers as they tickle my fancy. I’d like some white. And I am going to add blue and red for pride week. I need marjoram and more parsley. I’ll get a nice hot house tomato and maybe a bush cuke, too.
The last pic is the beautiful park I overlook. It is my inspiration.
